Megan Halloran is the Scientific Communications Officer for the Western Institute for Advanced Study, bringing over 10 years of diverse research experience in neuroscience, animal behavior, genetics and genome modification, decision-making, and mechanisms of addiction. Throughout her research career, she has integrated frameworks from fields like Biostatistics and Economics to develop better-fitting statistical models to predict choice behavior.

 

Megan holds Bachelor degrees in Biology and Psychology from the University of North Carolina Wilmington and a PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience from the University of Kentucky. She is passionate about communicating complex scientific subject matter, making it accessible to both experts in the field as well as a general audience. Her work ensures that critical findings are translated into comprehensible insights, bridging the gap between advanced research and practical understanding.
